What If I Die Before I Awaken? (Silent Transmissions: Issue #18)

It’s rather abrupt, isn’t it?
When this physical life ends, that’s it — no mulligans, no second chances. Just dirt, worms, or your friendly neighborhood crematorium.

The finality is brutal.
Your search for truth, freedom, and enlightenment?
Over.
No rewind button.
No participation trophies.
You either awakened before you kicked the bucket…
or you didn’t.

So what happens if you die before awakening?
What if you check out while still asleep?

Do you wake up after dropping your meat suit?

Well… that depends on what you mean by “awakening.”
If realizing you’re not the body and shedding your human conditioning ticks enough spiritual boxes for you, then great — rest easy. Just a few more years to go.

But if awakening, for you, means seeing through ALL forms of self-identity — even the so-called “self” that floats around in an afterlife — then your path is more… uncompromising.
If that’s you, then being free of a body isn’t enough.
You’ll need to be free of yourself.

Here’s the good news:
Your growth doesn’t begin and end with one body.
Consciousness doesn’t reset just because your body does.

Most people don’t love that idea —
Because if we’re honest, life is hard.
No one’s lining up to start over.

But the silver lining?
No growth in consciousness is ever lost.
Everything you truly realize — you take with you.

You’ll carry that awareness into your next life.
And when familiar emotional terrain shows up —
The same stuff you once transcended —
There’ll be this quiet moment:
“Oh right… I know how to meet this.”

And just like that, you’re protected.
From the karma. From the consequences.
Because this time, you don’t bite the hook.

With each new life, things get a little easier.
Not because the world softens,
But because you learn how to move through it.
The challenges don’t disappear —
You just stop taking them personally.

The soul — if you want to call it that — is an old knot.
A contraction formed when the Whole decided to compress itself
into something… believable.
A someone.
So it could know what it’s like to feel lost, separate, impermanent —
and still find its way home.

From the soul’s point of view,
a single lifetime is just a blink.

Imagine standing in front of a flowerbed.
You open your eyes and see seedlings —
some thriving, some struggling, some barely breaking through the dirt.
Then you blink.

And it looks like some never made it.
As if they were swallowed by the dark.

But then you blink again —
You re-enter form.
You come back in a new body —
And suddenly you see:
The souls of previous lives are still at it.
Still growing.
Still awakening.

And now…
you see the whole flowerbed.
All of it in its entirety…
From start to finish.

You came from nothing as nothing.
And you’ll return to nothing as nothing.

Everything in existence evolves toward completion —
and completion is just another word for dissolution.

Existence fragments itself to explore separation…
and then reassembles, to remember it was always whole.

Unity is the closest reflection the void can create for itself… for its undivided non-self.
And you — even in your confusion —
are part of that reflection.

So if you’re worried about not waking up in time,
don’t be.

There’s no stopwatch on Truth.
Just awareness… slowly remembering itself.
One blink at a time.
